The second trip back "home" to the North West in 2 days allowed for another brief stop at Warrington on the 17th to get 66604 running round in Latchford Loop as well as 60039 at Bank Quay and 60021 and 60074 at Peak Forest on the way home on the 18th.
66841 and 842 at Eastleigh and 60051 dit in the Hinksey to Eastleigh and return engineers on the 21st.
Went to see 66843 through Reading on the 24th working an early morning Laira to OOC Barrier move and 66844 at Euston working the Buffer Puffer 8 with 31190.

58036 moving to Wembley in 6M44 as well as 47839 and 47848 running into problems at Didcot with 6Z48 on the 10th.
66598 working 6Z30 Eastleigh to Taunton and 59206 on 7V33 Eastleigh to Merehead empties on the 11th.
A couple of days working in the North East allowed for a brief stop at Rugby on the 14th to get 56312 on 4Z91 followed by the Alumina Tanks at North Blyth on the 16th and a couple of 60's at Jarrow before a brief stop at Stafford on the way back to get 56311 hauling the next batch of 87's for export.
5 x DRS 20's moving to/from Eastleigh on the 24th with 302/303 and 311 towed to Eastleigh by 37609 and 304/305 going the other way. 47805 and 47839 on 6Z48 at Reading on the 24th.
60085 on 6E55 Theale to Lindsey at Culham on the 28th along with a few Mendip Rail Stone Workings at Shottesbrooke and Kintbury.

57302 to Eastleigh on the 4th with the first of several 321 units. 57310 on the 11th and 12th and 57311 on the 18th and 19th.
60013 shunting a train of 55 tanks ! on the Westerleigh Branch on the 5th following problems with 60019, the two locos ended up returning each others trains to Lindsey and Robeston.

With no 60 on the Theale Tanks today, I decided to try and see a few old favourites at Toton along with the 4 x Network Rail 37's at Barrow Hill and a couple of shunters at Bardon Hill Quarry. A brief stop at Chaddesden on the way back also found 66305 and 304 having just derailed ! (All photos taken with kind permission)

Spent an hour at Water Orton having never been before, just arrived with a couple of minutes to spare to get a shot of 6Z48 off the road bridge, the "classic" traction almost out numbered the sheds !
60022 on 6B33 on the 7th and 11th and 60059 on the 18th.
Back on "home" territory for a couple of days allowed a brief spell at Warrington Bank Quay on the 8th (its not the same without 25's and 40's) and a couple of hours on the way back on the 10th to get the 2 x 60's (011 and 091) working off Peak Forest
60087 working the Hinksey to Eastleigh and return on the 15th and 16th.
A couple more 58's (040/049) for export on the 15th.
20306 collecting a coach from Southampton Eastern Docks on the 22nd.
66402 working a GBRf convoy to Eastleigh on the 24th and a couple of GBRf engineers trains on the 26th
A brief stop at Wandsworth Road to get 47739 on 6Z48 and 37601/2 on 6M95 on the 30th with 67003 working 7X95 through Basingstoke.

The Royal Train through Basingstoke twice in one week going to Portsmouth (6th) and Weymouth (11th).
More TSO 58's moving to the continent on the 10th,17th and 18th in the consist of 6M44.
3 more DRS Class 20's to Eastleigh on the 18th and a further 5 loco convoy on the 29th.

Another trip to Long Marston, this year it was the class 86's that were lined up, spent 3 hours walking round in the rain and then another 6 hours trying to get the camera dry !

A couple of brief stops at Rugby plus Hanson 56's on the Retro Avon Grid Railtour at Bristol. More Stock Moves in and out of Eastleigh and 3 x "Royal" 67's in one day with the Management Train and Royal Train through Reading on the 12th.
An aborted attempt at Acton on the 13th to get the 2 x 56 covoys moving from OOC to Crewe allowed for just enough time to get to Eastleigh to see the 3 DRS 20's arriving from Carlisle. (2 of the 56's ended up going to Eastleigh on the 14th.)
6B13 (60074) and late running 6B33 (60065) Murco Tanks on the 16th.
Last ? Gypsum to Southampton (at least until the next one runs !)
More Loco moves to Eastleigh for the Open Day and 56098 to the Mid Hants for the Diesel Weekend.

A fairly busy month so far, with various loco's starting to move to Eastleigh for the Works Open Day, 60065 with 59202 at Theale on the Robeston Tanks (this is my 45th different class 60 at Theale in the last 12 months and possibly the last with so few left !), various 37's and 47's as well as the next batch of 58's bound for Spain.

A few photos from some of the various depots and stabling points that I have visited over the years, sadly I didn't have a camera for a number of others (Gateshead, Reddish, Newton Heath, Cockshute, Wath, Westhouses etc...) although with so few now remaining I am grateful for what I do have !

With the number of Class 60's reducing dramatically in the last couple of years, I decided in March 08 to start taking photos of what at the time was a pretty solid booked working for class 60's in the area, the 6A11/6B33 Theale to Robeston and the 6V84/6E55 Theale to Lindsey Tanks. Operating on alternate days (except Sundays) to/from Robeston and Lindsey, I have so far managed 60 different class members at this location. Unfortunately, with the exception of the occasional working from Robeston the trains are now more often than not worked by class 66's.
